AT Ferries which is a part of the Acciona Trasmediterranea group, operates between the ferry port of Portsmouth and the ferry port of Bilbao in Spain. The ferry service was established in May 2006.
Due to continuing operational reasons that could not be solved in the medium term, Acciona Trasmediterranea have cancelled all scheduled sailings between Portsmouth and Bilbao for the rest of 2007.
You can book alternative sailings with P&O Ferries, The 'Pride of Bilbao' or you can book similar crossings with Brittany Ferries between the ports of Plymouth and Santander in Spain using the booking facility below.
About AT Ferries
AT Ferries is being operated by Acciona Trasmediterránea, part of the Acciona Group. Acciona Trasmediterránea currently run a ferry service between ferry ports in Spain and North Africa, between the Balearic Islands, and the Canary Islands. Now with AT Ferries they will join P&O Ferries in providing a service between Spain and the UK. They will use their new Super ferry Fortuny Sorolla, with a capacity of 1000 passengers and 300 cars.
This fantastic super ferry has 32 staterooms in Class Club, 171 staterooms in Tourist class with accommodation up to 4 passengers and 6 staterooms with disabled facilities. The staterooms of Class Club have television via satellite, a mini-bar, room-service, exclusive access to the Hall Club, and offers preferential boarding and disembarkation. The Hall Club Lounges onboard provide hall armchairs with views to the sea and are equipped with television monitors.
All the staterooms Tourist Class are comfortable and also kept to a high standard.
The variety of restaurants on board allows AT Ferries to offer passengers a Spanish selection of menus, covers and wines to taste in the restaurant.
Onboard facilities include a supermarket, a bar in the swimming pool area (conditioned swimming pool in winter and salt water in summer), a Spa offering massage services, a gymnasium, sauna and Jacuzzi, children areas, a cinema, a pub, a disco and a heliport. The Fortuny is equipped with the latest ferry technology so passengers can enjoy a safe and enjoyable crossing all year round. AT Ferries use the latest ship stabilisers which ensure your crossing is smooth and comfortable in any weather.
