The ferry route is operated by 2 vessels: the Seven Sisters and the Côte d'Albâtre, both superb new ships launched in 2006. The Seven Sisters and the Côte d'Albâtre are capable of speeds of up to 22 knots (more than 40 km/h) and are equipped with ultra-modern stabilizers and therefore offers optimum comfort whatever the sailing conditions.
Newhaven is the closest UK ferry to London and a only a short distance from the famous seaside resort of Brighton. Dieppe is ideally situated in Upper Normandy with fast connections to Paris and all parts of Northern France.

About Transmanche Ferries
Transmanche Ferries was created by the Syndicat Mixte de Promotion de l'Activité Transmanche to ensure that the trade and tourist links between the Seine Maritime and Somme départements (districts) and the South of England were preserved and developed. In 2007, in the context of a Delegation of Public Ownership Services agreement, the running of Transmanche Ferries was handed over to Louis Dreyfus Armateurs whose LD Lines Company also operates cross channel services out of Le Havre.
So Transmanche Ferries and LD Lines have now become sister companies. This arrangement not only ensures the continuing development of the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry route but has also made it possible to increase the frequency of cross-channel sailings in the central section of the Western Channel.
Transmanche Ferries has two ferries making regular crossings all year round between Newhaven and Dieppe. The route is operated by 2 ships: the Seven Sisters and the Côte d'Albâtre, both offering shop, cabin facilities, self service restaurants and video.
