About Poland Ferry

Discover how beautiful Poland is! Set in the heart of Europe, you will find everything in Poland. Thousand year of tradition have left world-class historic monuments in Poland's historic cities like Krakow with its cathedral and old town, Zamosc, one of Europe's best preserved Renaissance towns, the medieval Torun (birthplace of Copernicus) and Warsaw. You are welcome to visit Warsaw, the capital of Poland since 1596 and located in the region of Mazowsze in central Poland. Destroyed in WOII, but historic buildings, palaces and churches have been reconstructed with great care. Large Polish towns are especially interesting for backpackers, because of the young population, affordable cultural events, like the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (November) and the many pubs. Poland's greatest attraction though is its nature, wild, untouched, diverse and a paradise for the active tourist. In southern Poland there are resorts for hiking and skiing in the Karkonosze mountains and in the Carpathian mountains. The Mazury lake district with its picturresque villages and Malbork castle offers some of the best canoeing and sailing in the country in the summer. This district and some smaller lake districts in the northeast of Poland are known as "the land of the thousand lakes". Near Krakow and in the Tatra mountains (national park) caves can be explored. On the coast of the Baltic Sea there are several sea resorts, like Wolin island, close to the German border, and the coast of Pomerania. Although the climate is moderate, people are warm and hospitable and will help you make your holiday an unforgettable one.
